Newest release of AWM’s Arden Hanger enhances cable airflow, boosts ampacity, and lowers utility-scale project development costs

HOUSTON — June 2, 2026 — At ACP CLEANPOWER 2026, Affordable Wire Management (AWM), a leading provider of utility-scale PV Cable Management Systems (CMS) and wire management solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), announced the release of the company’s Gen 5S Arden Hanger. The new Gen 5S Arden Hanger is designed to optimize cable ampacity, minimize materials, and lower costs compared to earlier versions.

 

As part of AWM’s commitment to continuous improvement, the Gen 5S Arden Hanger has been engineered to increase ampacity or lower operating temperatures for cables. Through a detailed analysis, AWM determined that a unique offset results in a more optimal configuration for achieving the most effective cooling and best ampacity performance. The offset of cables ensures better airflow and boosts ampacity by 10% in many cases over the previous Gen5 Hanger.

 

In addition to performance advancements, the Gen 5S Arden Hanger’s refined asymmetric structure, featuring a slightly shorter hanger and a leaner spine, reduces overall material use without compromising strength and durability. As with all AWM products, the Gen 5S Arden Hanger is manufactured from metal alloys, has a 90+ year lifespan, and delivers long-term reliability for owners and operators. From its initial inception, the Arden suite has been designed for efficient installation, which decreases field labor time and lowers overall e-BOS (Electrical Balance of System) costs.
