New Sales VP Joins AWM’s Industry-Leading Team to Support Company in the Next Level
Tempe, AZ and Bedminster, NJ – June 10, 2024 – Affordable Wire Management (AWM), a leading provider of solar cable management systems (CMS), has made yet another significant addition to its growing team by hiring Brian Townsend as Vice President of Sales. Townsend is a seasoned sales professional, with decades of experience in renewables, power transmission, and account management, with a strong track record in opportunistic market growth and business development.
Townsend will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive AWM’s sales and vertical market penetration. Leveraging research and insights, he will develop sales performance metrics, and implement data-driven strategies to optimize AWM’s growth. Maintaining strong relationships with AWM’s developers, EPCs, EORs and technology partners is also a crucial aspect of his role. Townsend will collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and customer service departments to ensure sales strategies are well-integrated with the overall company objectives.

Previously, Townsend held several positions – including Renewables OEM Sales Manager and Field Sales Engineer – at Southwire Company, a leading manufacturer of wire and cable for electricity distribution and transmission. He was instrumental in developing GTM strategies and product development for RenewaFLEX to support the BESS market. He also served as Vertical Account Manager for TE Connectivity, where he was responsible for generating sales into the renewable markets in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and El Paso, TX.
